Kansas State is simply not a good basketball team. The Wildcats went just 9-20(4-14 in Big12) last season and face the reality of a total rebuild at this point. Meanwhile, Arkansas comes into this season straight off an Elite 8 appearance and appears to be set up for long-term success under HC Eric Musselman. Kansas State pairs an offense that ranks outside the top 100 in the country with a slow-paced and methodical system, while Arkansas holds a top 20 offense in the country that uses quite a bit of pace. This matchup dynamic should lead to a total drubbing tonight in round 1 of the Hall of Fame Classic. Arkansas is a team that is set up to win by margin, and I think they’ll do just that tonight.
