The 2024 Belmont Stakes – Sports Betting

The 2024 Belmont Stakes has a new look.   As Belmont Park continues renovations, this race moves to Saratoga where it will be ran at a mile and 1/4 distance rather than the traditional mile and 1/2 at big sandy.  We are at the end of the show (until the breeders cup that is), and we have a field of horses that are very solid, and in my opinion, one super star.   Well, the super star is none other than Kentucky Derby runner up in “Sierra Leone” who may have won the race had he not got in a side to side battle with Japanese horse “Forever Young”.   Sierra Leone is a Chad Brown horse who has good pedigree and has won three out of his fiver race with two second place finishes.  As we know, we can’t cash big tickets easily on the favorite, so as I will use him on the top of most of my plays paired with Preakness Winner Seize the Grey.   Not a lot of talk around this horse for this race yet, he has the most racing experience out of all of these horses.  I also like the fact that this horse wasn’t fading at the end like Mystic Dan did in the Preakness.   The 1 hole in this race has produced winners a top 19% of the time.  The 10 horse “Mindframe” is the second favorite, and a deserving one based on pedigree and his amazingly strong finishes, but he has only run in two races without much competition.  I will use him for a saver ticket but that is all.  The two horse is interesting to me being that he has run a very fast speed figure of 104 Beyers at the Wood Memorial.  I think that he could finish second.  Here is my card. Hoping for a 1/2/6 or 7 type finish, but I’ll be happy with any profit.
