CFB Week 14 Picks (49-43-7, +1.80 units):
USC -2.5 (-120), to win 2 units
We’re not questioning Caleb Williams in this spot. Not only is this for all the marbles in the PAC-12, it’s a rematch and revenge game for the Trojans. Williams is and should be the favorite to win the Heisman and this ends the conversation. USC rolls.
TCU -2.5 (-110), to win 1.5 units
The Horned Frogs looked better than ever last week and already beat Kansas State by margin at home. They’re too close to risk a close game and the end of their journey into the NCAAF playoffs, something they probably only dreamed of before the season began. Too much motivation to trip up now– TCU wins by a touchdown.
Michigan -16.5 (-110), to win 1 unit
The Big Ten Championship isn’t fair. After a sterling performance against Ohio State, Michigan defends their right to be Big 10 champs and to proceed into the NCAAF playoffs; some have them favored over Georgia and many think there’s a path for them to beat the Bulldogs. McCarthy is proving he can put this team on his back and take them to new heights and their defense should be particularly effective against a weak Purdue offense. Iowa kept them to only 3 points – expect similar results Saturday.
Teaser (6 pts, -120), to win 1.5 units
Troy -2.5 and Ohio +7.5
