Clemson vs Arizona -7.5 O/U 151.5
Today the madness restarts! This should be a fun game to watch and hopefully a fun game to win some dough. Everyone knows the Caleb Love narrative to advance and face his old North Carolina team in the elite 8, but will they have enough against a strong Clemson team? Arizona has really changed their tune when it comes to playing defense being ranked 9th and 10th on Kenpom in both efficiencies. The big issue that I have with the cats, is that like the other cats of Kentucky, once they get D’d up, they definitely could falter as they showed vs against Washington State during the year, as well as USC and Oregon in March. The place you worry about Arizona is down low where guys like Ballo and Krivas like to thrive, but Clemson has 5 guys that are all 6’8 or taller that get a lot of playing time and should be able to keep Arizona honest down low. Clemson has been playing some knockout defense in the underrated ACC ranking 33rd against the three point shot and 3rd against near proximity. They also rank 24th in offensive efficiency. Since February 10th, Clemson ranks 20th in overall efficiency to Arizona at 5th. The Tigers also tend to up their game when they play the top teams as we have seen when they beat Alabama, TCU and North Carolina away from home. I think that Clemson can hang in this game and possibly get the win. This spread is too large and I will take Clemson +7.5
