Akron over 2.5 wins (+180) – 1 star premium shared – Wow, this team was brutal last year and the only team to not win a game in the FBS. Akron was also very young last year, and I like the fact that they are coming off of that embarrassment. The Zips are ranked 14th in returning production at 78% which doesn’t say they will be great but they can’t be any worse than 2019. These kids being young, should be able to improve at least somewhat, and since they are in the MAC, I think there is ample opportunity to compete. The good news for the Zips is that their first 2 games are winnable getting FCS Youngstown State at home the first game of the season and then traveling to another piss-poor team in New Mexico State. Akron also should also be able to win later in the year at home vs Bowling Green who only returns 47% production and was also almost equally terrible last year. This year Akron also gets, you guessed it, UMASS who was the only team worse than them last year, but happened to beat Akron at home. Lastly, Akron ranked 3rd worst in turnover margin at -15 and I expect some positive regression back towards the mean. I love the + money here, and will play it for sure.
