- Ohio State only out-gained Tulsa 505 to 501 yet won 41-21. This game was much closer and the moment was too big for Golden Hurricane.
- Florida out-gained Alabama 439 to 324 yet lost 31-29. 1-0 turnover ratio and missed extra point did them in.
- Mississippi State out-gained Memphis 468-246 yet lost 31-29. Equal turnovers and bad officiating got the best of the Bulldogs.
