Ok Keto fanatics, today I will give you my recipe for a 0 carb mint julep recipe that proves to compete with the real deal! At the Kentucky Derby there will be over 125,000 mint juleps served. That is over 10,000 bottles of bourbon!

    Ingredients

    Leaves from 6 mint sprigs
    3 packets stevia sweetener
3 ounces of Makers Mark bourbon whiskey
    1.5 cups crushed ice
2 ounces of water (or club soda if you like bubbles)
    Mint sprigs for garnish

    1. Combine mint and stevia in a julep cup, glass or tin cocktail shaker.
    2. Grind this mixture with a few turns of the wrist using a muddler or wooden spoon, until you smell a strong mint aroma.
    3. Add bourbon and half the ice with the 2 ounces of water. Churn with a stirrer until the cup gets frosty.
    4. Top with an additional pile of ice and mint sprigs. Serve with a short straw so you’ll get a nose full of mint with every drink!
