Seattle vs Cleveland -161 O/U 7.5
Remember those days when Cleveland was an unders team? Well, that seemed to pass some last year when the Guardians ranked 18th in WRC+ and 16th in OPS. My big focus today is three things. The first thing is that the wind is blowing out to left center at about 16 MPH. That should help some of these big righties hit a few out of the park. The second thing is the pitching. Hunter Gaddis takes the mound for the Guardians who really doesn’t have much MLB experience. The little amount that he pitched last year in the bigs resulted in seven innings and a 15.39 FIP. He was about 3.89 last year in AAA which is just average. Robbie Ray is pitching for the Mariners who has a fly ball percentage over 40 and a FIP of 4.17 going back to 2022. He should allow some runs this game as well. The last part of this handicap is the rule changes. We don’t know exactly what will happen, but the shift, the larger bases, and the pitch clock are designed to create more runs. I think the over is the best way to play this tonight.
