Pittsburgh vs Chicago -160 O/U 11

The Cubs lost some guys in the offseason but it’s not like they were very productive minus starting pitcher Yu Darvish.   Fan favorite Jake Arrieta is back for the Cubs and it is something that could temporarily recharge his batteries.   Jake only has a 4.38 FIP last year pitching for the Philly’s but Tyler Anderson had roughly the same numbers pitching for the Giants last year and the wind is blowing out.   Jake is more of a ground ball pitcher while Tyler Anderson is more of a fly ball pitcher.   Pittsburgh had the worst bats in baseball last year while the Cubs were a little below average.   I like the Cubs here.

Chicago Cubs -160 – 2 stars

Cleveland vs Detroit +144 O/U 8.5

Here is another game where the wind will be blowing but it will be hurting the bats more than helping them.   Cleveland is a terrible at hitting ranking 27th in the league last year while Detroit wasn’t far behind ranking 25th.  Detroit will have Julio Teheran at the mond who went from a 4.66 FIP in 2016 to a 8.62 FIP in 2020 before being shut down.   Cleveland had the best bullpen in baseball last year and they still have most of those key guys.   Starting Pitcher for Cleveland is Zach Plesac who last year still had a decent 3.36 FIP and a 40% fly ball percentage.  I like high fly ball percentages where the wind is blowing in.   Detroit should get beat this game and I think the number should be around -190 for Cleveland instead of -160.

Cleveland -160 – 2 stars

Instead I like to think of myself as a great compiler of information who specializes in the Big 10, but also handicaps all NFL, NCAA football, UFC, Basketball, Horse Racing and more! I encourage people to specialize in a conference or division that will help give them the greatest edge in their sports wagers. I am never against a person betting against their favorite teams when the situation is right.
