Cubs vs Phillies -125 O/U 9
The 19-24 Cubs have to win at some point right? This team has a losing record for a few reasons. First of all, they have been pretty bad in the clutch led by poor manager decisions from David Ross. Lots of 1 – 2 run losses here. If you look at the Cubs run differential, they rank 8th at +22. This tells me that they are much better than what their record actually is showing. The Phillies are -29 in run differential ranking 23rd. Marcus Stroman takes the helm for the Cubbies today, and he still has good numbers at 3.24 ERA, 3.66 FIP even after a few recent blow ups. Ranger Suarez is starting for the Phillies who has only four innings under his belt so far this year. Last year he was pretty average at 3.65 ERA and a 3.87 FIP. I think the Cubbies get it right today.
