I’m going back to the well with another free pick on this series…Wow, this line has moved! I thought I was on an island as 92% of the money was on MIN to win this one just about a half an hour prior to writing this. Now that number is down to 76% on MIN.
I like the value on the Cubs tonight even though their starter Hendricks hasn’t looked great lately. On the season, the Cubs seemed to keep winning for the guy so I expect good effort from the team tonight to close this two game interleague series.
Although Joe Ryan has looked like a top of the rotation starter for the Twins, he just faced this Cubs team at the beginning of the month, giving up 3 ER’s. What had me looking towards the Cubs and the OV 7 is- since the trade deadline, the Cubs have the 9th most hits, 12th most runs, and 12th BA in MLB v RHP. We all know the Twins are capable of putting up runs and the better team in the last month.
For all of these reasons, I’ll look to be on the Cubs ML but that number is moving… Conditions aren’t the most hitter friendly tonight at Wrigley but I still like the value on the lower number, so I’m going F5 OV 3.5.
