The starters for game 2 of this series are RHP Nick Pivetta (3.59 ERA, 1.24 WHIP) for Boston and LHP Drew Smyly (5.11 ERA, 1.32) for the Braves. Smyly has been consistent whether he’s home or away but Pivetta has pitched better at home this season with a 1.17 WHIP. Both of these offenses are hot and rank in the top 10 in wOBA this season against their R/L split for todays game. Pivetta is the better pitcher here and he also has the better bullpen to back him up.
