Baseball season has arrived. We’re less than 24 hours away from opening pitches of opening day. We’ve looked at all six divisions from a betting perspective and have given you our futures bets and predictions. Traditionally baseball is my best sport to handicap, but we did have a losing season in 2023. All time tracked record in MLB still shows a 0.5% ROI and we’ll be getting back to our winning ways in 2024. You’ll be able to find my MLB betting package available here at TheOddsbreakers.com. Now we’ll finish up the season previews with a brief article about how I see the playoffs going and where there is value in pennant and World Series odds. We’ll throw in some season long props as well and MVP, CY and ROY predictions.
With all this being said, I don’t like tying up a boatload of cash for 6 months so wager as you feel. All my plays will be small, and mostly for fun here.
The Playoffs
AL Seeding
(1) Baltimore (2) Seattle (3) Minnesota (4) New York (5) Houston (6) Tampa
NL Seeding
(1) Los Angeles (2) Atlanta (3) Cincinnati (4) Philadelphia (5) Chicago (6) Miami
AL Wild Card
Minnesota vs Tampa – The Rays have too much in this short Series and win 2-1
New York Vs Houston – Give me the team with more recent success. Houston 2-1
NL Wild Card
Cincinnati vs Miami – If Miami stays healthy they have a shot, but I like up and coming Cincy 2-1
Philadelphia vs Chicago– Too many holes in the bullpen for Philly means the Cubs wins here 2-1
AL Divisional
Seattle vs Tampa – The Mariners staff carries them in a classic 3-2
Houston vs Baltimore – Baltimore rolls the cheaters 3-1
NL Divisional
Cincinnati vs Atlanta– The young Reds are still a year and a pitcher away from winning big. Atlanta 3-0
Chicago vs Los Angeles – Dodgers can’t win big games unless it is Covid. Cubs 3-2
ALCS
Seattle vs Baltimore – A tail of two young up and coming teams sees the Mariners bullpen pull this out 4-3
NLCS
Chicago vs Atlanta – The Braves are just too much for the Cubbies and win 4-1
World Series
Atlanta vs Seattle – The Atlanta lineup is held at bay by the Mariners young starters. For the second year in a row a team wins their first ever World Series. Seattle 4-2
