Last year, we saw Dallas reveal themselves to be one of the NBA’s best road teams but just couldn’t get it done at home. Tonight the Mavs are at home taking on a Spurs team that’s been playing hard. Too early to tell what these teams are but so far, we’ve seen Dallas come out slow averaging 21.7 ppg in the 1Q (30th) against a few defensive minded squads. San Antonio on the other hand, has been coming out of the gates quick with 28.8 ppg (12th) against better competition.
With San Antonio being another defensive minded team, Dallas at home I like a small gamble on SAS 1Q ML +150. There’s a chance McDermott is out for the Spurs tonight and Porzingis is also banged up, but this new look, young Spurs team is playing like they have something to prove. Seeing money coming in on Spurs whole game, so market like Spurs tonight, probably due to Dallas’ sluggish start.
