Carolina has been one of the best home teams as of late, especially in the postseason. While this team has suffered a bunch of key injuries heading into the playoffs, they have found ways to win. They’ve also gotten some depth production specifically from Jordan Martinook who was fantastic in their last series. Freddy Anderson has also been great for them going 5-0 with a 1.80 GAA and a .931 save percentage. He currently ranks 3rd in Goals Saved Above Expected (GSAx) with a +3.9. While Florida is continuing to embrace their underdog role, Carolina has the defensive capability to shut them down offensively. Despite the great story that Florida has going for them, I think the Hurricanes handle them at home and go on to win Game 1.
