Unfortunately we have a really shitty slate of NBA games tonight, all two of them, and I can’t choose a side. I’ll take a deeper look at props and some other stuff during the day again, but I doubt I’ll have any plays. Here are my thoughts on the two contests:
Warriors at Magic (+8)
The Warriors are in the midst of a brutal road stretch to start the season. They can’t get away from the East Coast and they haven’t been faring well on this side of the country. Golden State is 2-6 ATS so far this season and 0-3 ATS and straight up on the current road trip. This might be a nice spot to take the Magic, who will treat this like one of the bigger games of their season. Plus they’re at home again and they’ll be staying in Orlando for the next SEVEN games. This is a big-time spot advantage for the Magic but the Warriors could also put together a pristine performance tonight and regress back to their championship average. For that reason, I have no play.
Nuggets at Thunder (+5.5)
My instinct is to take the Thunder– all they do is keep covering ATS and winning games that people don’t think they can. The Nuggets are also one of those teams that blow games like this. That said, Denver is learning how to play with more chemistry and on paper they’re a way better team. This line is right and I’d rather just observe how each team handles the other.
