*CFB(1u): East Carolina -10(-110) vs South Florida–6:30 PM CT

East Carolina has endured 2 straight gut-wrenching losses to UCF and Houston, but they are much better than your typical 3-4 team. ECU QB Holton Ahlers is a 4th year starter who has shown consistency all season long and has plenty of playmakers to work with around him. The Pirates O-Line has done a poor job of protecting Ahlers this season, but lucky for them, South Florida has recorded just 4 sacks through 7 games this year. In addition to being weak up front, the Bulls have shown vulnerability in their secondary(likely because the DL can’t get pressure). South Florida’s offense should also not present much worry towards the Pirate defense. The Bulls have played QB-roulette all season; regardless of who’s in there tonight, they will be tasked with playing a near perfect game to keep USF in it. South Florida is not built to play from behind because of their inconsistencies in the passing game, but they also don’t have the talent at RB to where they can run the ball very effectively. The ECU defense is far from stellar, but this is arguably their easiest matchup of the season; I expect them to capitalize. 10 is too short of a line all things considered, so I’ll lay the points with the home team tonight.
