After all of the fun and controversy that we had this week over the Baffert horses, It is finally time to get into this race. Not surprisingly, both Baffert horses are favored here and the question in everyone’s minds is will they be able to live up to these numbers. Some people feel that the horses were on performance enhancing drugs previously and they are now overpriced and some people think that the potential drug use didn’t matter much and the prices might have some value. Some people actually think the horses might be tainted in today’s race as well. For me, I have to think that it is impossible to tell and will jump on the value with Medina spirit who is currently going off around 3-1 instead of the 9-5 opening price. The horse that I think could win this race and have some value is the 4 horse Crowded Trade. This horse has a nice 95 Beyer speed figure from the Gotham and he should be able to get this distance according to his pedigree. I think that the 5, 6 and 10 horses could also make some noise so I will play the prices while keying in on the 3 and the 4. Best of luck everyone!
