Kurt Holobaugh vs Jordan Leavitt -220
This is going to be a close fight tonight as these two men square off in the lightweight class to move forward in the UFC. The Favorite, Jordan Leavitt is only 29 years old. He won his UFC debut in 2020 against Matt Wiman, just to then lose his next bought to Claudio Puelles back in 2021, but then ripped two wins in a row against Matt Sayles and a split vs Trey Ogden. Unfortunately, he lost two of his next three matches against Paddy Pimblett, and Chase Hooper. I mean, these are quality losses so I can’t take anything away from him. He did beat Victor Martinez in which I call a solid win. Jordan can strike, but wrestling is his true game as most of his wins come by submission. His opponent in Kurt Holobaugh is a journeyman who has started his UFC career way back in 2017, yet he is 38 years old. He is also a wrestler with a very tough chin. The Hurt has amassed 21 wins and 9 losses over his full career. The thing that sticks out to me is that Kurt’s losses were mainly by decision. He tends to hold on to his opponents on the ground while the time ticks away. His get up game is weak, yet he doesn’t allow himself to be submitted as it has happened only once in his career. He also has only been knocked out once as well. I lean the younger Leavitt to win this fight, but I think that Kurt the Hurt can take it to the distance. I will take the better price.
