Toledo vs Buffalo -2 O/U 163 –
This should be a fun and fast paced Maction game for Friday night. Buffalo ranks 4th in the nation in average possession length of 14.5 seconds. Toledo ranks 151st at 17 seconds but in MAC play, they play a little faster at 16.6 seconds. Neither defense is really any good with Buffalo’s ranking 101st on Kenpom and Toledo’s ranking 168th. Toledo has the edge on offense over Buffalo at 54.1 effective FG% to Buffalo’s 51.5% but Buffalo has been trending up with no losses this February while Toledo has lost 2 of the last 3 games. When I look at how both teams match up, I think that Buffalo has the edge here. Toledo relies on the 3 pointer shooting it 46% of the time and they make it 38% of the time but Buffalo has great 3 point defense ranking 4th in the NCAA allowing only 26.4% to go in. Now that has to do some with their easier MAC schedule but it is a very low number either way. Because of that edge, and the fact that the Bulls are trending up, I like them this game to win 83-81. Bart Torvik has them winning 81-79. Haslametrics has them winning 80-76.
