I was thoroughly surprised that the Eagles looked as good as they did in Week 1, but regardless, this is a team I wasn’t very high on coming into the season. I don’t think Jalen Hurts can excel under duress, so playing in a game where his team is outmatched, I expect to see some regression from the young QB this week. The 49ers are consistent defensively, but where this game will be won is on the other side of the ball. While the Eagles defense looked good, there are still some major weaknesses in their starting 11, specifically at the LB position. Kyle Shanahan is one of the best schemers in all of the NFL, and I think he’s going to use his weapons to give the Eagles a field day. Week 2 is all about managing the overreactions from the Week 1 results. I’m not going to change my stance on Philly yet, and the 49ers looked utterly dominant through the first 3 quarters of their game in Detroit. 49ers win and cover.
