College Football Week 3 Misleading Final Scores

483
  • Boston College only out-gained Temple 244 to 241 yet won 28-3.  They also lost the turnover battle 1-0.  Just a weird ugly game.
  • Indiana out-gained Cincinnati 376 to 328 yet lost 38-14.  A 4-2 turnover ratio hurt and this game was much closer than this score..
  • Georgia Tech out-gained Clemson 309 to 284 yet lost 14-8.  They also won the turnover battle.   I will say that Clemson played prevent on that last drive but still.
  • Ohio State only out-gained Tulsa 505 to 501 yet won 41-21.  This game was much closer and the moment was too big for Golden Hurricane.
  • Florida out-gained Alabama 439 to 324 yet lost 31-29.   1-0 turnover ratio and missed extra point did them in.
  • Mississippi State out-gained Memphis 468-246 yet lost 31-29.  Equal turnovers and bad officiating got the best of the Bulldogs.
  • Marshall out-gained East Carolina 647 to 571 yet lost 42-38.   A 3-1 turnover ratio did it along with bad D.
  • Utah Out-Gained Sand Diego State 327 to 248 yet lost 33 to 31 in overtime.   Equal turnovers and bad red zone efficiency did them in.
  • Purdue out-gained Notre Dame 348 to 343 yet lost 27-13.   A 2-0 turnover ratio and biased officiating was the culprit.
  • Arizona State out-gained BYU 426 to 361 yet lost 27-17.  A 4-2 turnover ratio did them in.
  • Hawaii out-gained San Jose State 369 to 291 yet lost 17-13.  Bad efficiency because they won the turnover ratio 2-1.

Kiev O'Neil: 20+ years of sports betting experience. Podcast host since 2017. College Football since 2019 412-367-27 UP 58.7U NFL since 2018 249-228-16 up 40U UFC since 2019 82-74-5 up 34.1U I do not necessarily look at myself as being a so called “sharp” sports bettor. Instead I like to think of myself as a great compiler of information who specializes in the Big 10, but also handicaps all NFL, NCAA football, UFC, Basketball, Horse Racing and more! I encourage people to specialize in a conference or division that will help give them the greatest edge in their sports wagers. I am never against a person betting against their favorite teams when the situation is right.
