*CBB(1u): Vanderbilt +4.5(-110) vs Alabama –8 PM CT

Alabama is one of the most inconsistent teams in the country, and that becomes even more true when they’re playing on the road. Already this season, they’ve picked up ugly losses at Georgia and Missouri and are just 2-5 SU and ATS on the road in conference play. To make matters worse, this is their second straight road game after losing at Kentucky on Saturday. Vanderbilt has proven they can win in this spot, having one 4 straight home games(including a win vs LSU) entering tonight. We know that Alabama likes to push the pace and shoot a ton of 3’s, but Vanderbilt ranks 45th in defensive efficiency and will look to slow this game down. Alabama’s defense has significantly regressed this season, ranking 81st in defensive efficiency and allowing an astounding 85 PPG on the road in SEC play. You could argue that Vanderbilt’s Scotty Pippen Jr. will be the best player on the floor tonight, and with this being the Dores’ second straight home game, I think some of their complementary pieces will play a big role on the offensive end of the floor. Vanderbilt is catching Alabama in a role they have proven to falter in often; I’ll take the points with the feisty road ‘dog.
