NCAA Tournament Futures

I don’t call myself an expert in college basketball, certainly not this year, and that’s what’s helped me be so successful in the NBA – a complete focus on the association following the NFL season. That said, below is a clear value play and some advice on how to approach CBB the next few weeks.

  • In all likelihood, a moneyline rollover on Gonzaga is much more likely to yield you more income than betting on them at a futures price of +300 to win it all. The value at +300 just isn’t enough, avoid futures like that. I do think the Zags are the deserving favorite.
  • Consider Tennessee at +1400: Something is gelling right now for the Volunteers and that kind of momentum can play real dividends in the tournament. And besides Arizona, which would be a big test for Tennessee, their competition in the South bracket isn’t very impressive. Michigan, Villanova, and Loyola-Chicago aren’t as impressive this year. I think it’s worth a sprinkle or 1 unit shot.
