*MLB(1u): Blue Jays F5 TT OVER 2.5(-135) vs Cardinals–6:07 PM CT

The Blue Jays offense has been among the best in the league in their home ballpark this year. Facing right-handed pitching at the Rogers Centre, the Jays rank 3rd in the league with a 122 wRC+. Tonight, they’ll get an extremely favorable matchup facing Andre Pallante of St. Louis.

Pallante might look good on the surface(3.34 ERA), but a WHIP at 1.46 is an incredibly strong indicator that Pallante is going to struggle as his sample size increases. Pallante is allowing over 1 hit per inning but has managed to leave 82.5% of runners on base. While Pallante is a heavy-ground ball pitcher, his BABIP is at .315; trouble clearly lies ahead for this young arm.

This is the wrong time for a vulnerable righty to face this Jays offense. Aside from their historic 28-run performance on Friday night in Boston, the Blue Jays also racked up 5 runs in the first inning of Sunday’s game facing a young righty arm. Now, they return back home to a role they’ve excelled in all year. I’ll trust Toronto’s offense early in this game.
