We head to South Beach, whom I’m Backing and Why

Giannis is IN, Giannis is back and the Bucks are going to cover 8? Well that’s not how I see it. How can you back a Miami team that almost lost to the Bulls in an elimination game and are facing a hungry Bucks squad trying not to go back to Milwaukee down 3-1? Very easily my friends, yes I understand I’m in the minority here with this opinion. Frankly, that doesn’t bother me. When they stormed back vs the Bulls, these guys caught a 2nd wind and realized, hey we can still play vs these ‘better’ teams. They were one game away from going to the NBA Finals  less than a year ago, I mean they were down 2 with 50 seconds left. This group of guys have been here before.

Yes I understand they have had a down season, but right now it’s irrelevant. Jimmy buckets is shooting over 60% from the field in this series, the resurgent Duncan Robinson has chipped in 34 points the last two games and as a team they’re shooting over 55% in the 3 games! None of this bodes well for a Bucks team that is very susceptible to giving up the 3, which is how Miami goes on their quick runs.

I know Milwaukee is VERY good, Giannis will be balls to the wall, but then again when is he not? If you played sports and ever had a back injury, it is one of the most impactful injuries out there. He is not 100% and won’t be. One elbow, one shoulder and the pain will reappear quickly. Am I saying he won’t finish the game, of course I’m not saying that, but then again he has been knocked out vs them twice in a few months. Luck has not been on their side when facing Miami, 0-5 at the Kaseya Center(weird calling it that) in the last 5 tries.

I just think 8 is just too many points to be giving up on the road in this spot. We have seen Miami play down to their opponents for sure, but they can play up to them as well. Which is why I’m tossing in a small ML play!
