Picks:

[All plays are to win 1 Unit unless otherwise noted]

  • Ryan O’Reilly over 0.5 Points (-134) – FanDuel
  • Ryan O’Reilly over 0.5 Powerplay Points (+215) – FanDuel [Risk 0.5 Units]

O’Reilly has at least one point in each of the first four games of their series against Tampa Bay. At home, he’s recorded over 0.5 points in each of the last three games. He’s been an incredible pick-up for this team that has the opportunity to advance to the second round tonight. While O’Reilly is on the third line, his ice time has been increasing steadily during this series due to his production. He also plays a crucial role on their top Powerplay line which has been given multiple opportunities in each game this series.

  • Chris Kreider over 0.5 Points (-130) – DraftKings

Kreider has at least one point in each of the first four games of their series against New Jersey. On the road, he’s recorded over 0.5 points in each of the last three games. Historically, Chris Kreider loves playing against the Devils tallying a point in each of his last eleven games against them!

After winning the first two games of this series the Rangers find themselves all square with the Devils dropping back-to-back games at MSG. In their two most recent games, the Rangers only scored once in each game. New York’s been better on the road all season so I expect them to put together a much stronger effort tonight. He’s also on their top Powerplay which has struggled in the past two games going 0/8 combined. I think New York leans on its top guys tonight to propel them to a victory in Game 5.

  • Neal Pionk over 0.5 Points (-110) – DraftKings
  • Neal Pionk over 0.5 Powerplay Points (+260) – FanDuel [Risk 0.5 Units]

Pionk has at least one point in each of the first four games of their series against Vegas. On the road, he’s recorded over 0.5 points in each of the last three games.

Josh Morrissey is out so Neal Pionk has become the main guy on the Powerplay up top. He’s gone over this line in each of the past three games. In his most recent game, he had two points. Winnipeg’s Powerplay has been one of their bright spots this series converting in every game so far.  The Jets currently rank 2nd in the playoffs with a percentage of 41.7. Given Winnipeg’s success, the Golden Knights rank 15th in Penalty Kill in the postseason. Vegas also struggled in this area during the regular season ranking 19th of 32.

    • Point has at least one point in three of the first four games of their series against Toronto. On the road, he’s recorded over 0.5 points in each of the last four games.
  • Patrick Kane over 0.5 Points (-155) – DraftKings
