Royals vs Padres -201 O/U 8.5
Normally I do not love laying chalk quite this heavy, but this is a situation where the Padres flat out should overpower this bad Royals team. The Padres are getting healthier as of late, and are striving to get back to .500 in their division. Seth Lugo will take the helm today for the Dads boasting a nice 3.18 ERA over 39 innings with a so so FIP of 3.96. On the other side, Brady Singer is pitching for the Royals, and he has some serious control problems this year at a 7.71 ERA and a 5.02 FIP. Neither Bullpen is all that great, but I could certainly see the Padres capitalizing early on Singers struggles. The Royals are a terrible batting team against right handed pitching ranking 28th in the league while the Padres rank 21st with most of those games played without their star player Fernando Tatis. Now that Fernando has been back, he is sitting pretty with an OBP of .350 and and OPS of .868. I am laying the juice here at -201. I would also consider a team total over 4.5 -126.
