Eagles vs Ravens -3 O/U 51
This could be a high flying fun game to finish out your Sunday afternoon. The Ravens are coming off of a nice victory last Monday against their coaches brother. If you look a little deeper into that game, it was mainly injuries that hampered the Chargers as they lost their best linebacker before the game, and their best running back early in the second quarter. The Ravens aren’t exactly without injuries themselves as starting linebacker Kyle Van Noy is injured while defensive nose tackle Michael Pierce will miss this game. The Eagles on the other hand lost cornerback Darius Slay and edge rusher Brandon Graham. This is going to hurt, but the Eagles are pretty deep this year on the defense. The good news for Philly is that wide receiver Devonte Smith looks like he will play. Both of these teams are really good at running the football as they both rank 1st and 2nd in rush EPA. The interesting thing to me is that the Eagles grade out as a much better defense than Baltimore ranking 6th in defensive EPA. Both teams are good against the run ranking 2nd and 3rd respectively, but from a passing perspective, the Ravens rank a bad 28th in opponent pass EPA while the Eagles rank 8th. I think both quarterbacks are not the greatest at slinging the ball, but Jalen Hurts should have the advantage here against a weak pass defense. I also like Saquon Barkley to have a big game through the air as Hurts will need him as a check down today. The Ravens rank 29th in RB receiving yards. Take the Eagles and some Saquon receiving props.
