  • Liberty out-gained Jacksonville State 514 to 390 yet lost 34-24.  A 2-0 turnover ratio and poor red zone offense extinguished the Flames.
  • Virginia out-gained NC State 514 to 416 yet lost 35-31.   A 1-0 turnover ratio, poor special teams, and bad clutch play killed the Wahoos.
  • Oregon State out-gained Fresno State 528 to 318 yet lost 36-27.  A 2-1 turnover ratio and poor red zone efficiency killed the Beavers.
  • Colorado only out-gained Delaware 398 to 396 yet won 31-7.  A 2-0 turnover ratio, poor third down ratio 2/10 and poor special teams got the Blue Hens.
  • Missouri State out-gained Marshall 474 to 274 yet only won 21-20.  Equal turnovers and bad red zone and special teams got the Bears.
  • Boston College out-gained Michigan State 457 to 380 yet lost in OT 42-40.   Equal turnovers at 1, but 8 penalties and poor officiating got the Eagles.
  • Tulsa out-gained New Mexico State 376 to 291 yet lost 21-14.   A 2-1 turnover ratio and just poor clutch play got the Golden Hurricane.
