- Louisiana out-gained Troy 371 to 345 yet lost 35-23. A 3-1 turnover ratio did them in.
- Arizona State out-gained Houston 426 to 384 yet lost 24-16. A 1-0 turnover ratio and terrible red zone efficiency got the Sun Devils.
