I know everyone is gearing up for football season, but let’s not forget about the MLB.

Below I have 3 Free Picks for you.

Orioles/Guardians u8 (-120)
Guardians’ starter Cal Quantrill is having a great month of August. In five starts, he is 3-0 with a 2.25 ERA. Across those five starts, he has only given up eight earned runs with 23 strikeouts.

As for Baltimore starter, Spenser Watkins is 1-3 with a 3.81 ERA and 18 strikeouts over his last five starts.
If there is any action in this game, I’d expect it to come in the first half, as Baltimore and Cleveland have one of the better bullpens in the league.

The Orioles bullpen has the 5th best ERA (3.19) and 10th best SIERA (3.47), as Cleveland has the 4th best ERA (3.18) and 3rd best SIERA (3.23) in the MLB.

Phillies ML (-131)
I like tonight’s sport for Aaron Nola and the Phillies. Nola is coming off a complete-game shutout against the Cincinnati Reds, and I believe he carries over the momentum against a hot Arizona lineup.

In August, Aaron Nola is 2-2 with a 2.25 ERA and 33 strikeouts. The advance metrics also back up his great month of August. Nola has posted a 2.46 xFIP, .296 BABIP, and a K% of 30% while opposing batters are hitting a miserable .210.

Tampa Bay Rays’ Shane McClanahan to Record the Win (+100)
McClanahan is 11-5 with a 2.20 ERA this season. Over his last four starts, he is 1-1 with two no-decisions, mainly because of his offense’s lack of run support. Those two no-decisions came from his last two starts; in those starts, Shane has given up two earned runs while striking out 17 batters.

McClanahan has the advantage of taking on a Marlins team that has lost 11 of its last 17 games and has more than three runs in only 3 of those games.
