Florida State vs Wake Forest -5.5 O/U 61.5

This line is ugly.  Horrible.   What does it mean?   What is Florida State after losing to FCS Jacksonville State yet keeping up to overtime vs Notre Dame?  Well I can usually excuse a team after a hiccup and especially on a short week after an overtime loss but this loss was more of an ulcer or a straight up praying to the porcelain god type of sickness.  One thing is for sure, Wake Forest can score points.  This team averaged 36 per game last year and they returned the majority of their main starters including quarterback Sam Hartman.  Now I like Florida State’s Mike Norvell a lot as a coach, but he has never had a defensive mind and this team isn’t there yet to the standards that he had at Memphis.   I also like McKenzie Milton but I don’t think he is quite poised yet after that awful injury years back at Central Florida.  Looking at Wake’s defense at home last year, I like how they held Virginia to Virginia to 23 points, Virginia tech to 16 and a Trevor Lawrence Clemson team only got 37 on them.  I have Wake Forest power rated 7.75 points better than Florida State at on a neutral field, and this game could be a blowout.  I’ll grab the demon Deacons

Wake Forest -5.5 – 3 stars

Tulane vs Ole Miss -14 O/U 75

Some totals were meant to be high.   This game is going to be a fun one.  If you know anything about Lane Kiffen, his offense is fantastic, his defense is usually suspect and he plays very very fast.  Last year, Ole Miss ranked 4th in plays per game at 81.6.  This year, Tulane has really picked up their pace at 21.3 seconds per play.  That is very fast and they are putting up some serious points at 69 vs FCS Morgan State and they even got up to 35 vs Oklahoma.  I expect this team to keep on trucking.  Tulane’s defense is decent and it might be even good enough to compete in the AAC, but this is a game vs a very good SEC opponent and QB Matt Corrall is a legit Heisman candidate.   I took this over at 72 for members but I still like it some at 75.5 for a few units.

Over 75 – 2 Stars

Auburn vs Penn State -6 O/U 53

This game will be a huge one as college gameday will be there and it is a night game in Penn State.   You know what night games mean there right.  IT’S A WHITE-OUT!  This Nittany Lion crowd will be going berzerk and we have to add an extra 2 points minimum to their power rating in this atmosphere.   To cap this game, we have to ask ourselves, what do we know about each team.   Let’s start with Auburn.   What do we know?  Jack Squat as Chris Farley (the comedian) would say.  They played 2 of the worst teams in football this year.  What we do know about Auburn is that they can shine every once in a while but when they go on the road, Bo Nix turns into a little puppy.  In 2019 he was 56% and 4TDs with 6 Interceptions on the road and in 2020, he was only 51% completions.   The whole Auburn team has been a road disaster minus some cupcakes over the past few years.  Penn State on the other hand is playing with confidence and that big win at Wisconsin this year has set them off.   The Nittany Lion defense is looking great shutting down the Badgers in the Red Zone and taking out the MAC champion making them look like an FCS school.  Sean Clifford is playing smart football and not turning the ball over.  My power ratings has this game Penn State by 10.5 in this atmosphere.   I do not think Auburn has much of a chance here and I think this is a 10 point + victory for Penn State.

Penn State -6 – 2.5 stars

Instead I like to think of myself as a great compiler of information who specializes in the Big 10, but also handicaps all NFL, NCAA football, UFC, Basketball, Horse Racing and more! I encourage people to specialize in a conference or division that will help give them the greatest edge in their sports wagers. I am never against a person betting against their favorite teams when the situation is right.
