The Hawks are undoubtedly 4 points better than the Spurs, but I can understand why this line is so short. In 9 road games this season, Atlanta has failed to cover one spread. Even so, the Hawks found a groove on their recent home stretch, going a perfect 5-0. I like playing on teams who had a good home stand in their first game on the ensuing road trip; the urgency is almost always there to keep things rolling. Any regular season stretch is fair game, but I don’t read as much into the Hawks’ early season struggles as most. San Antonio(4-12) enters this game having lost 6 of their last 7 and are no match to Atlanta’s current form. I’m going to ride the Hawks’ hot wave and lay the points with them in San Antonio tonight.
