*CBB(1u): Iowa +2(-110) @ Virginia–6 PM CT

Iowa’s 6-0 record might not mean much given their lack of competition, but I’m still very high on this Hawkeyes bunch. The Hawkeyes currently lead the nation in PPG(97.2) and have a sustained track record of efficient offensive play. Virginia(5-2) is much more of a slow-paced, defensive minded team, but the difference between this year’s team and past Tony Bennett teams is the lack of offensive efficiency. This Virginia bunch is scoring just 61.4 PPG and are ranked by KenPom as the 97th most efficient offense in the country. Iowa isn’t known for its defense typically, but if Navy can hold the Cavs to under 60 points, then so can they. I struggle to see how Virginia trades baskets with this lethal Iowa offense; give me the points with the road team.

*NFL(1u): Seahawks PK(-110) @ Washington FT–7:15 PM CT

This is strictly a buy low spot on Russell Wilson and a Seahawks bunch with a proven track record. Make no mistake about it: The Seahawks have been dreadful as of late. Coming off a BYE week, they have dropped two straight games; although the Packers and Cardinals are both good teams, Seattle wasn’t even competitive. However, Russell Wilson came back a bit early off of injury and it’s understandable to see why he’s struggled to get back in a rhythm. Tonight seems like the perfect chance for this whole squad to turn things around on a national stage. Washington is off two straight wins, but I actually think it’s a good time to sell high with this bunch. QB Taylor Heinicke has respectable overall numbers, but he has been bottled up numerous times this season. Look for Seattle to come out hot tonight and pick up a much needed road win on MNF.
