Curtis Blaydes vs Derek Lewis +350
This is going to be a wonderful fight between 2 heavyweights who are striving to move up in rank. The Black Beast Derek Lewis who leads heavyweights in knockouts at 11 is fighting Curtis Blaydes who leads all heavyweights in takedowns. There is a clue in that statement in how we are betting this fight. Derek Lewis is such a hit or miss kind of guy. He beat Alexander Volkov and Francis Ngannou who in my opinion is the best heavyweight out there with apologies to Stipe Miocic. The bad Lewis has also lost to straight up has-beans like Junior Dos Antos and bums like Mark Hunt. I watched Lewis in the Latifi fight and I also thought that he lost that fight but the decision went to Lewis anyways. Curtis Blaydes is a great fighter with his only losses are to Francis Ngannou. He has some good wins vs Volkov who we just saw beat Alexander Overreem handily a few weeks back Whome Blaydes has already beaten. His record states why he is such a big favorite here. Blaydes is the much better technical fighter than Lewis. Blaydes can take you down averaging a massive 7 take downs per fifteen minutes while Derek Lewis is pretty much looking for the knockout every chance that he gets. The Odds say that this fight won’t go to decision at -325 but I have seen Lewis go to decision in 3 round fights and he has better wind than looks like. Blaydes went to a 5 round decision in his last fight vs Volkov. I think that the best looks right now is Derek Lewis potentially catching Blaydes by KO/DKO for +450 and take Blaydes to win in a decision at +325. What we are betting against at plus money is Blaydes within the distance which is prices at -165. I can see Blaydes milking this one by winning with points rather than risking those big Derek Lewis haymakers.
Derek Lewis to win by KO/TKO/DQ +450 – 1 star premium shared play
Curtis Blaydes to win by decision/points +325 – 1 star premium play – This is counted as one 2 star play that pays out at +225 or +350 – We are pretty much betting against Blaydes winning in regulation here.
Ketlen Vieira vs Yana Kunitskaya +230
This fight is about hype for me. Ketlen Viera is coming into this fight with only 1 loss and that is why she is such a big favorite. I have to pump the breaks on that a bit. Ketlen Viera hasn’t fought the level of competition as Yana has like Chris Cyborg and Julija Stoliarenko. Ketlen has showed that she is susceptible to knockout losing her fight before her last to Irene Aldana. Yana is the better striker at 4.5 significant strikes lander per minute to 3.1. Her accuracy is better and her ground game has gotten better. Both fighters are equal at 2 takedowns per 15 min. I think we have a live dog with Yana here.
