Illinois vs Arkansas
Taking Arkansas money line.
Got this at +164 with odds boost at MGM
Liked this match up a lot when the brackets were released. However, numbers were not as favorable for Arkansas in the research as I had hoped but I have scouted a lot of teams in the last 2 days and I had already watched Illinois a lot.
Arkansas is the better team. They controlled most of the game vs Auburn but let the Tigers back into the game late but held on. They are just a couple weeks off of a 3 point loss at Alabama.
Arkansas is #29 in FG % in the nation.
Arkansas is not playing their best going into this tournament but they’ve beaten good teams like Kentucky, Texas A&M, Missouri and given the best team in the nation a fight.
Illinois has not won a game away from Champaign since January 28th.
Arkansas is just a little more balanced in their scorers.
These teams are very similar in a lot of numbers. To me, Arkansas is the better team based on the eye test. Small Play going with Arkansas today.
