- USC has had a pretty favorable schedule with their own challenge against Oregon and a backup quarterback that picked them apart. Metrically, this team has some offense ranking 24th in EPA, but that defense ranking 108th in EPA is the problem.
- Penn State has also had a favorable schedule ranking 59th to USC’s ranking 26th, but they do have a nice 1.33 net yards per play advantage over USC at .65.
