🍺 Weekly Recap

I’m back, baby. I was feeling under the weather last week, so the best bets didn’t make it out, but the week before I stacked another winning card — 2–1, pushing the overall record to 9–5–1. No need to bore you with a recap. We’re healthy, we’re dialed in, and we’re ready to fire.

Let’s get into it.

🔥 Best Bets

South Carolina Gamecocks (3-3) vs Tennessee Volunteers (6-1)

Location: Williams–Brice Stadium, Columbia, SC

Date: Saturday, October 10, 2026

Time: 3:30 PM ET

Channel: ESPN

Opening Line: Tennessee -2.5

Current Line: South Carolina -2.5

ATS: USC 1-3 (Home); Tennessee 1-1 (Away)

Analysis: I swore off South Carolina a couple of weeks ago after backing them against Kentucky and then fading them against Florida. But now it’s their turn to get me some of that money back. I still don’t understand how Tennessee keeps winning with no competent quarterback, so this feels like the perfect spot to fade them.

Tennessee has played eight straight games, they’re coming off their biggest win of the season against Alabama, and now they have to hit the road to face a South Carolina team fresh off a bye. That’s a brutal scheduling spot, and the Cocks are catching them at the exact right time.

All we need is a little run D to get this home. Give me the Cocks at anything under 3 if they go up 16 or 17 to 0 in the first half cash out immediately.

Pick: South Carolina -2.5

North Texas Mean Green (4-2) @ Navy Midshipmen (2-4)

Location: Navy–Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, Annapolis, MD

Date: Saturday, October 10, 2026

Time: 3:30 PM ET

Channel: CBS Sports Network

Opening Line: North Texas -1.5

Current Line: North Texas -3

ATS: UNT 1-2 (away) Navy 1-1 (Home)

Analysis: I am going to right the coattails of Kiev on this one, In the same vein as the South Carolina play, Navy has been run a little ragged, and North Texas comes in fresh off a bye. That extra week should help the Mean Green prep for the Navy rush attack, but Navy can’t magically fix their 114th‑ranked passing defense in seven days.

This game might trade punches, but all we need is one stop, because this matchup isn’t likely to be decided by a field goal. North Texas has the fresher legs, the better offense, and the exact kind of passing game that can feast on a Navy defense that hasn’t stopped anyone through the air.

Give me the Mean Green, who should be able to move the ball all afternoon and take advantage of a Navy team that’s simply worn down.

Pick: North Texas (-3)

Colorado State Rams (Record, ATS) vs San Diego State Aztecs (Record, ATS)

Location: Canvas Stadium, Fort Collins, CO

Date: Saturday, October 10, 2026

Time: 6:30 PM ET

Channel: The MF CW

Opening Line: SDSU -1.5

Current Line: SDSU -1.5

ATS: CSU 2-2 (Home) SDSU 0-3 (Away)

Analysis If you love watching football teams that do not give a shit about defense, boy do I have a game for you. Colorado State has given up 56 or more points in three straight games, so expect San Diego State’s offense to look its best this week. Compared to CSU’s last three opponents, the Aztecs are the weakest offense they’ve faced — and that might be just enough for the Rams to hang around.

The CSU offense has actually been solid even without starting QB Hauss Hejny, and now he’s back, baby. That’s the spark they need to stay competitive, because let’s call it what it is — if they’re going to win, they’ll have to outscore their opponents.

San Diego State has to travel to high altitude right after a big rivalry win over Fresno State, and that’s a classic letdown spot. If they come out even a little flat, the Rams have the firepower to capitalize.

Give me Colorado State, banking on altitude, rest, and a quarterback boost to finally stop the bleeding.

 Pick: CSU +1.5
