  • Coastal Carolina out-gained West Virginia 425 to 413 yet lost 31-24.  A 2-1 turnover ratio and a slow start did them in.  Bad coaching by Rich Rod at the end of that game as well.
  • North Texas out-gained Indiana 367 to 365 yet lost 52-16.  A 1-0 turnover margin, bad field position and bad red zone hurt the Mean Green.
  • Liberty out-gained James Madison 321 to 291 yet lost 20-13.   12 penalties extinguished the Flames.
  • Boston College out-gained Cincinnati 388-339 yet lost 34-15.  A 2-0 turnover ratio and terrible red zone got the Eagles.
  • Oregon out-gained Boise State 497 to 274 yet only won 34-27.  A 1-0 turnover ratio, bad fourth down efficiency 0/3 and shotty officiating got the Ducks.
  • Sam Houston out-gained Troy 373-342 yet lost 24-21.   A 1-0 turnover ratio did them in.
  • Baylor out-gained Auburn 436 to 389 yet lost 17-16.  They won the turnover battle 3-2 but poor special teams got them the L.
  • UCLA only out-gained Cal 461 to 410 yet won 45-24.  A 3-1 turnover ratio helped.
  • Wisconsin was only out-gained 350 to 284 yet lost 41-13.  A 2-0 turnover ratio and poor coaching in the second half got the Badgers.
