I am gonna go back to the well here on my most common play from last year in backing this pitcher. Zach Gallen is a man amongst boys at the helm. Over the past three seasons, this man hasn’t been below a 3.5 ERA. So far this year, Zach is at a 1.93 FIP over 22 innings. Today he matches up with Giants pitcher Kyle Harrison who is young yet venerable. Kyle has a 4.7 ERA and a 5.03 FIP this year over 23 innings pitched. The Giants rank 16th in wRC+ while the Diamondbacks rank 10th. I know that the Giants are coming off of a devastating loss to the snakes 17-1, but this isn’t exactly the great matchup that will help them get into this game. I am gonna forget the bullpen today and go with the 1st 5.
