Commanders vs Cowboys -13 O/U 48.5

This is a pretty high total, and I agree with it.   The Commanders play at a high tempo and their defense is quite suspect.   This teams gives up 27.7 points per game and 6 yards per play.   Dallas on the other hand has been running through the bad teams like a hot knife through butter.   Dem boys average 30.2 points per game and only give up 17.5.  Being that the Commies traded their best two defensive edge rushers in Chase Young and Montez Sweat, I see no problem for the Cowboys to get some points.   My issue is with the Commanders and they can be very unpredictable on offense.   Last week, this team lost to the worst team in the league in the Giants turning the ball over 6 times and only putting up 19 points against a bad defense.   At the same time, this Commies team earlier in the season has also almost beaten the Eagles two different times in which I have the Eagles power rated higher than the Cowboys.   I think the safest play here is the Dallas team total.  I see Dallas getting points either way and I could see them winning 35-13 or 38-28.

Dallas TT over 30.5 – 1.5 stars

Thanksgiving Day 6 point Teaser:   Lions to -2 with the 49ers to -1 – 3 stars – I think that the Lions have the Packers number and without Aaron Jones and Devondre Campbell, the Pack is in trouble.   The 49ers want to put a stamp on the division today and Geno Smith is playing this game banged up.

SMU vs Wisconsin -7 O/U 140.5

This is the final game of the small Beach Divisional tournament in Fort Meyers Florida.   SMU took care of business easily against West Virginia while Wisconsin took out Virginia in blowout fashion two days ago.   The truth of the matter is that SMU isn’t as good as that West Virginia win.   The Mountaineers shot 39% from two and 31% from three while playing very bad defense.   West Virginia without coach Huggins is off to a very poor start losing to Monmouth at home back on November 10th.  Wisconsin has a few tough losses vs Tennessee and Providence on the road, but we still have to remember that this Badger team has a ton of seniors and a big front court.   Wisconsin has a 7 foot Steven Crowl in the middle as well as a 6’9 Tyler Wahl at power forward.  SMU won’t be able to match up here being that both of their big men are 6’8 and struggle to play big minutes.   SMU will try to find success from three point land, yet Wisconsin last year ranked 57th in defending the three, and after a shaky start, this Badger team held Virginia to 4-14 from the Arc and out-rebounded them 44-23.  I see an easy win with a team full of upperclassman.   Take Bucky.

Wisconsin -7 – 2 stars

NFL Week 11 Misleading Final Scores

The Vikings out-gained the Broncos 385 to 295 yet lost 21-20.  A 3-0 turnover ratio got the queens.

The Dolphins out-gained the Raiders 411 to 296 yet only won 20-13.  Equal turnovers at 3 but poor red zone and bad special teams got the Fins.

The Commanders out-gained the Giants 403 to 292 yet lost 31-19.  A massive 6-0 turnover ratio killed Washington.

College Football Week 12 Misleading Final Scores and Key Injuries

Coastal Carolina out-gained Army 384 to 365 yet lost 28-21.  They won the turnover margin 2-1 but bad special teams and red zone got the Chants.

Purdue out-gained Northwestern 443 to 329 yet lost 23-15.   A 4-1 turnover ratio killed them.

Wyoming only out-gained Hawaii 472 to 345 yet won 42-9.  A 2-1 turnover ratio and horrible red zone killed the Rainbow Warriors.

Utah was only outgained by Arizona 443 to 438 yet lost 42-18.   A 2-0 turnover ratio got the Utes.

Texas State out-gained Arkansas State 539 to 487.  Much of it was garbage time but there was a 4-0 turnover ratio that did in the Bobcats.

USC out-gained UCLA 387 to 354 yet lost 38-20.  A 3-0 turnover ratio including a scoop and score killed the Trojans.

Nebraska out-gained Wisconsin 364 to 316 yet lost in OT 24-17.  A 1-0 turnover ratio and bad red zone roasted the Corn.

UCF out-gained Texas Tech 487 to 446 yet lost 24-23.  Equal turnovers at 1 but bad special teams got the Knights.

Kansas out-gained Kansas State 396 to 331 yet lost 31-27.  A 3-1 turnover ratio and backup QB hurt Kansas.

Oregon State out-gained Washington 317 to 272 yet lost 22-20.  A 3-1 turnover ratio did them in.

Key Injuries:

QB Jordan Travis from Florida State is out for the season with a leg injury.

QB Black Shapen from Baylor injured his head.

QB Ethan Crawford from Southern Miss came out with an elbow injury.

  • Oklahoma State better beat BYU to stay in the Big 12 championship game mix.
  • Any team with 5 wins that must become bowl eligible. – Nebraksa, Syracuse, Florida, South Carolina, Utah State, California, Old Dominion, UCF, Minnesota, Illinois, Virginia Tech, TCU, Louisiana, Colorado State, Rice, BYU, Mississippi State, Navy, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan.

Non-Starters trending up for week 12

DEF Miami looks good at the Jets.

DEF Tennessee looks good vs Carolina.

QB Garner Minshew should be able to throw against Tampa.

WR Brandon Cooks vs Washington looks like a hot commodity.

RB Najee Harris vs the Bengals defense is on.

QB Josh Dobbs vs the Bears is hot.

WR KJ Osborn vs the Bears is also hot.

RB Kareem Hunt vs Denver looks great.  So does RB Jerome Ford.

RB Elijah Mitchell vs the Seahawks.

RB Devery Henderson vs the Cardinals has a nice matchup.

QB Baker Mayfield vs the Colts should be good again.

QB Tommy Devito vs the Patriots could do ok.

RB Ty Chandler vs the Bears is good being that he will get more of a bell cow roll.

Busts:

RB Javonte Williams vs Cleveland’s D looks rough.

RB Brian Robinson vs the Cowboys D is bad.

QB Russell Wilson vs Cleveland’s D.

TE David NJoku vs Cleveland’s D.

QB Justin Herbert vs the Ravens is suspect.

QB Aiden O’Connell vs the Chiefs is scary.

RB Zach Charbonnet vs the 49ers is tough.

Nasty Sleeper:   RB Jerome Ford vs Denver.   I think he balls out here and the Cardinals are bad against the Run.
