Titans vs Browns +3.5 O/U 38

This should be an ugly game with this total continuing to drop.   The reasons for this drop is that there is some wind, and both teams like to play defense.   The Browns thus far haven’t allowed much for offensive touchdowns through two games, but they also really haven’t played a decent offense.   Are the Titans decent?   Heck no, but they should not be catching over three points to this team.   Thus far, the Titans do rank 20th in offensive EPA while Browns rank 29th.   Cleveland ranks 2nd in defensive EPA and the Titans rank 18th.  The Titans have a solid defense in general, and today’s wind should help their secondary against DeShawn Watson’s throwing abilities.   I like an ugly game here so take the dog.

Titans +3.5 – 2 stars

Teaser:   Ravens to -2 with the Jets to +8.5 – 3 stars.   I do not see the Ravens losing to a banged up Colts team.   I also do not see the Patriots winning big away in the wind.

Miami vs Temple +23 O/U 47

This one isn’t hard to figure out.   We have high winds of 10-20 MPH and rain showers throughout the day.   I do not see a lot of success passing the ball for either team.   This game is more of a distraction for Miami being that they have to travel up to Pennsylvania when they “should” be playing conference games.   Temple isn’t a good team really at all, but they do half day decent agains the run ranking 65th in opponent rushing success rate while the Hurricanes ranking 20th themselves should stop the Owls at almost every chance that they get.   Even if it comes to throwing the football, I do not think that either team can do much in this weather.   Take the under.

Under 47 – 2 stars

Oregon State vs Washington State +3 O/U 57.5

This could be the best game in college football.   Oregon State is coming in at 3-0 with a great yards per play margin at 3.3.  Washington State is also 3-0 with a good YPP margin of 1.37.   What does this mean?  I really do not know being that the strength of schedule looks pretty different.  The Cougars beat a good Wisconsin team at home as well as at a Colorado State team that should have won at their in-state rival Colorado.   The Beavers won against Mountain West teams like San Jose State and San Diego State that both looked like swiss cheese last night against their conference opponents at home.  Clemson Transfer and Oregon State quarterback DJ Uiagalelei has been just ok at 61.8% completion percentage and a 6-2 TD to Interception ratio.   Washington State quarterback Cameron Ward has looked sharp at a 72% completion percentage and a 9-0 TD to interception ratio.  If the Cougars want to win this game, they will have to stop the run, and I think that will happen after watching what they did to the Badgers.  Lastly, lets not forget that the Beavers have Utah on deck and could look past this game.  Take the Cougs at home in a game that should be PK.

Washington State +3 – 2.5 stars
