September 20th MLB Plays

*MLB(1u): Rangers TT OVER 3.5(-135) vs Angels–7:05 PM CT

The Rangers have been elite against left-handed pitching at Globe Life Field, holding a league-high 172 wRC+ in this role since July 1st. Angels SP Patrick Sandoval has been a guy I’ve looked for chances to fade all season. His 2.99 ERA is incredibly deceiving when you factor in his 1.35 WHIP. Sandoval gives up right around 1 hit per inning while simultaneously struggling with control; the Rangers have proven time and time again that they step up well against these vulnerable lefty arms.

This Angels bullpen is incredibly mediocre, perhaps more so than their overall season numbers would indicate. I was priced out of isolating this TT in the F5(I’m not going to lay -155), but I feel comfortable trusting the Rangers over the full game. If Sandoval were priced according more to his WHIP, we wouldn’t be getting this at 3.5.

*MLB(1u): Royals F5 ML(-110) vs Twins–7:10 PM CT

For as bad as Zack Greinke has been on the road, he has been utterly impeccable at Kauffman Stadium this season(1.93 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, 0.1 HR/9). He’ll face a Twins lineup that has to be utterly demoralized after losing 4 out of 5 to the Guardians over the weekend and virtually eliminating them from the playoff race. Handicapping motivation in baseball is usually a waste of time, but if there were ever a massive let down spot, it would be here.

Twins SP Dylan Bundy is perhaps the most hit-or-miss SP in baseball. He has been particularly inconsistent on the road(5.28 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, 1.5 HR/9) and now has to face the same lineup for the second straight start. Conditions will play favorably for more runs tonight, which hurts the fly ball pitcher that has struggled with the long ball more than it does Greinke.

Given the Royals hold far-and-away the worst bullpen numbers in baseball, there is no reason to play this over the full game. Isolate the F5 and trust Greinke in a role he’s excelled in all year.

September 19th MLB Play

I am on an 11-5 run in MLB and see my season record sit at 159-145-6, +7.52u. To receive a text when I release/add any plays, join my Telegram group!

*MLB(1u): Rays F5 ML(-120) vs Astros–5:40 PM CT

Rays SP Drew Rasmussen has been absolutely impeccable at Tropicana Field this year, bringing a 1.97 ERA and 0.80 WHIP into tonight’s start. The Astros struggle in this role a lot more than people would expect; since July 1st, the ‘Stros hold a below average 94 wRC+ vs righties on the road. They did look good at the plate against this weekend against the A’s pitching staff, but history proves that’s not a good barometer of where an offense is at. Just last month, the Astros swept the A’s at home only to lose the first 2 games of their ensuing series in Chicago against the White Sox.

Astros SP Luis Garcia is a better arm than his 4.04 ERA would indicate, but he’s still at a disadvantage in this matchup. Garcia has just been slightly off all season; he’s struggled with allowing the long ball at home while struggling with this command(3.2 BB/9) on the road. This Rays offense was mediocre for most of the season but have steadily improved throughout the course of the summer. Since July 1st, the Rays hold a solid 113 wRC+ vs righties in their home ballpark.

The Rays dug deep into their bullpen this weekend and are at a slight disadvantage even when at full strength vs Houston’s deep bullpen. As such, I’ll isolate this one in the F5.

Miami vs Baltimore -3.5 O/U 44.5

This should be a good game in Baltimore with clear skies and good weather.  Both of these teams I thought under-preformed some in their wins last week.   The Ravens just couldn’t get the running game going vs the Jets and had to rely on the Jets beating themselves.  The Ravens were out-gained by over 100 yards.   The Dolphins beat the Patriots at home but it wasn’t really convincing while only outgaining the Pats by 36 yards.  Now Miami did beat the Ravens last year at home to start their huge 7 game winning streak, thanks to their defensive blitz schemes and forcing Lamar Jackson to stay in the pocket.   The Ravens now with newer receivers still look susceptible to mistakes.  The Dolphins have more talent on offense than the Ravens do, and their defense looked pretty solid last week.  The convincing thing to me is that Baltimore’s injuries will play a factor this game.   Starting left tackle Ja”Wuan James tearing his achilles, and CB Kyle Fuller tearing his ACL is really gonna hurt today.   Previous starting left tackle Ronnie Stanley might be back today and ready to start again, but he could be very rusty being out for 2 years and 28 games.  Taking Miami today for the cover.

Dolphins +3.5 – 3 stars

Chicago vs Green Bay -9.5 O/U 41.5

If there was a fraudulent victory last week, look no further than the Chicago Bears.   The 49ers had it very difficult in Chicago by giving the game away due to turnovers while outgaining Chicago by over 130 yards.   The Packers on the other hand dropped some simple passes vs the Vikings and that game should have been a lot closer.   The Bears are in rebuild mode.   Many of their fans can’t see past that and this look ahead line was more like Packers -12.5.   Justin Fields is still very green and could easily be baited into making mistakes especially when losing.   I love my Chicago Bears, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t make money off of a team that I know so well.  My power ratings has the Packers winning this game by 13 points.

Green Bay -9.5 – 2 stars (at 10 it’s 1.5 star)

Teaser:   Saints to +8.5 with the Steelers to +8 – 2 stars – Both of these games have low totals and their are some big injuries for Tampa Bay as well as some offensive play calling issues with the Patriots.

Rob V: Sunday NFL Power System play

Sunday card has the AFC South Game of the Year, Our NFL UNSURPASSED Totals Collection play an Executive Level TIER 1 Move, the Sunday night Total of the Month, MLB and Soccer. NFL 6-1 last week. Comp play below.

The NFL Comp play for Sunday is on the Carolina Panthers plus the points at 1:00 Eastern. The Panthers apply to a solid 44-8 long term system. Carolina has covered 4 of 5 in September games and the dog in this series with the Giants is 5-0 to the spread. They will look to rebound off a home loss to Cleveland. NY trailed the whole game but came through with a big second half to edge the Titans by 1. NY has failed to cover the last 4 after rushing for 150 or more, 5 of 6 after allowing 350+ yards and the last 4 with a division home game up next. The Situations favor Carolina here today. On Sunday Rob look to improve on last weeks 6-1 NFL Record with the NFC South Game of the Year, an Executive Level tier 1 Move, Sunday night Perfect System Play on NBC, MLB 5* Banger system and big soccer plays. See us at goldencontender@aol.com or on facebook/twitter to Jump on and cash out all day and night. For the Comp play on Sunday take the point or two with the Panthers.
