Limited time today (what else is new), so going to provide some shorter write ups here. Let me know if you have any questions.
CBB Picks:
UMASS -6 *
Potent offense wins here.
Xavier +7 *
Too many points for a flawed UCONN team.
Bama/Kentucky over 155.5 *
Fairleigh-Dickinson +16 *
FD can survive in this one against a bad defense. Both high-paced teams should cultivate the others’ offense.
Army -3.5 *
Neither team is good, but American could easily get overwhelmed by the Golden Knights’ pace. I went to American U for grad school and trust me, there’s not much to like about their basketball program.
Auburn -4 *
Auburn has been at their best in-conference. Nice spot for Florida but I don’t think it matters. Auburn is just considerably better on both sides of the court.
Tennessee +2.5 *
G-Town/Villanova over 144.5 *
Grand Canyon -1 *
UFC Picks:
Hill by KO/TKO/DQ (-145), 1.45 units
Porter by KO/TKO/DQ (+145), 1 unit
Motta by Decision (+225), 1 unit
NBA All Star Picks (these will NOT count towards my NBA season record – play at your own risk, but this is where I see value):
Luke Kennard to win 3-point shooting contest (+500)
Luka wins All-Star MVP (+1400)
Team LeBron over 163.5 (-115)
If you ever have any questions, message me here, on Twitter, or on Instagram. I will make myself available from 9am to 5pm every day, but please don’t expect an answer outside of those hours. I gotta shut it down sometimes. All picks are 1-5 stars based on unit size and confidence. 3 star picks are rare, 4-5 star picks are VERY rare. -Chris
Saturday card led by the 7* NCAAB 100% 2022 Total Of The Year, an Executive Level Tier 1, the Afternoon BIG 12 Game Of The Month, NHL and Soccer. NCAAB Comp Play below.
The NCAAB Comp play is on Duke at 6:00 Eastern. Duke held off a late rally by Wake Forest bit wont let their foot off the gas tonight against a Florida St team that beat them last month. Now they will seek revenge. Duke has much better numbers on both sides of the ball and they catch a Seminoles team off a tight win at home over Clemson. We note that the Seminoles have failed to cover in 12 of 13 when they lose as a road dog. Look for the Blue Devils to coast to a cover. On Saturday we unleash our 2022 7* NCAAB 2022 Total of the year headlining a Powerful card that also has NHL and Top Level soccer. See us at goldencontender@aol.com or on facebook/twitter. to jump on. For the NCAAB Comp play. Go with Duke. Rob V- Golden Contender Sports
Back at it this weekend with a ton of PL action. Hoping to trend in the opposite direction and break the 0-2 record.
Current PL Record: 0-2
WHU vs NEW: Draw, .5 Unit (+290)
West Ham is currently 5th on the table matched up against New Castle United who is holding on outside of the relegation mark. West Ham is at home, but this line of -140 with their record disparities and table standings makes me feel the line is short and a draw is every bit in play here. .5 unit +290 Draw
Arsenal: ML, 2 Units (-215)
Arsenal is levels above Brentford who is coming into this match up with a 2-1-7 record in their last 10. This is a -215 line for a reason with Arsenal on their home pitch. No red flags for me here as Arsenal should take care of business to earn their 3 points on the table. With 2 unit play (-215)
Aston Villa: ML, 2 Units (-145)
Watford is bad, really bad. They simply just lose… a lot. They are currently 0-2-8 in their last 10, and traveling on the road to AV won’t be a spot for them to get a spark. Av 2 units (-145)
BHA vs BUR: Draw, .5 Unit (+275)
Both of these teams absolutely love draws. In fact they are 2 of the 4 clubs with double digit draws on their record. Burnley gives teams trouble stacking the box, but now are slowly building better counter ability since the Weghorst addition. So if they were to go down 1-0, they are still very capable to even it up. I think we are getting good value here to play the higher probability of a draw with these two teams. Draw .5 unit +275
CRY vs CHE: Under 2.5, 1 Unit (-118)
Chelsea and CP met back in October where Chelsea took care of business 3-0. The line for that match was -300. We are now in February and the clarity of the table standings is a lot more detailed. Chelsea at -145 in this spot is having me think this match may be close. When a match like this is close with a great disparity in talent, I don’t really see CP scoring. Therefore am taking the Under 2.5 (-118) for 1 Unit.
MCI vs TOT: Under 3, 1 Unit (-112)
Man City is red-hot handling everyone in their path. They are destroying teams at the bottom of the table. These two teams met in the beginning of the season where the spurs managed to pull out a 1-0 upset. I do not see a ton of goals taking place in this one. Tottenham is a very up and down club, but have shown to be able to compete with the best. Under 3 -112 1 unit.
Hi Everyone! We get a nice break from NBA action but that doesn’t mean the mind shuts off! I’m joined on this pod by the great Clive Bixby (@CliveBixby41) and we talk about teams that are ascending, teams to fade, and other insights
I haven’t been that high on this Spiders team this year which has paid off, but tonight we have two teams that have significantly better ATS records on the road (both teams 7-2 ATS in away games, RICH 4-8-1 at home and VCU 5-7). Money coming in on VCU which I can’t argue with on the full game, so that will have me looking towards Richmond in the first half. Richmond has slight advantages in Effective FG%, rebounding, and turnover %. The Spiders also come into this one 6-2 1H ATS on the road.
This will be the second time this time has seen the Rams aggressive defense, so I expect them to fare better than they did in their last matchup. Last time these two met, Richmond shot a poor 35.5% from the field, had 13 turnovers, and only hit 67% from the FT line. Richmond Guard Jacob Gilyard also had his eyes on the NBA last year, so I expect him to step up on a nationally televised Friday night game. The Spiders will be walking into a hostile environment tonight, but we’ve seen they can handle adversity on the road. Give me the points in this spotlight interstate rivalry with Richmond in the first half!

Nebraska Cornhuskers forward Derrick Walker #13
MBB vs Illinois
*CBB(1u): Nebraska TT OVER 72(-115) vs Maryland–8 PM CT
Nebraska is just 1-13 in conference play, but this is actually a very advantageous spot for them. Maryland is just 3-11 in conference play themselves, has lost 5 straight games, and is playing their second straight road game after keeping things close with Purdue on Sunday. Nebraska has been let down by their defense, but they can actually put up points because they run at the 10th fastest pace in the country. Maryland has recently faced two up-tempo teams in Iowa and Ohio State; they allowed 110 to the Hawkeyes and 82 to the Buckeyes. When you add in that the Terps are likely not going to come out with a full effort tonight given how tumultuous this season has been, I think the path is quite clear for the Cornhuskers to use pace to their advantage and put up at least 75 in this one.
Oh hello. Happy Friday, but more importantly: I LOVE that we finished the week on a 6-2 tear in NBA picks! We’re also 31-15 (67%) the last 18 days. No big deal.
Which leads me to this: What we’re doing right now – the +44 units since Jan 1, the +21 units the last 17 days, the +11 units in CBB the last 3 weeks – this shit is NOT normal. Many of you are receiving discounts for these picks and it’s literally impossible to not make money if you just follow our unit allocation. So I ask: please do what you can to spread the word about FarleyBets! It would mean a lot to me. Onto Friday, and look forward to our UFC picks tomorrow, too.
CBB Picks:
Butler +9 **
Butler gets a high momentum ranking on Haslametrics and it’s easy to see why. The Bulldogs tough defense keeps them in games and their offense has improved, with impressive wins over DePaul and Marquette recently. Saint John’s barely beat them 2 weeks ago; I think this game stays close, too.
Harvard -15 *
This is as ugly as it gets, but Columbia is historically bad this year and it’ll be a cold day in hell if the Lions perform like they did in their first contest against Harvard. Columbia shot an insane 55.2% from the field, including 48% from beyond the arc in that game, and they STILL lost by 9 points. Bound to regress, I like Harvard to win and cover at home.
Purdue Fort Wayne -5.5 *
This is a square-ass pick but the pace of PFW should be too much for Green Bay, even at home.
NBA All Star Picks (these will NOT count towards my NBA season record – play at your own risk, but this is where I see value):
Luke Kennard to win 3-point shooting contest (+500)
Luka wins All-Star MVP (+1400)
Team LeBron over 163.5 (-115)
