February 4th NBA Premium Play

*NBA(1u): 76ers/Mavericks 1H UNDER 108(-115)–9:10 PM CT

Philadelphia ranks just 26th in pace this season, while Dallas comes in even lower at 29th. Dallas has a top 5 defense in the league, while Philadelphia’s top 10 defense is playing even better as of late. Both offenses are right around league average, but given the slow pace nature of this game, I don’t think either will put up a crooked number. Dallas is also without 2 key scoring pieces in Kristaps Porzingis and Tim Hardaway Jr, while Philly will potentially be without Seth Curry tonight. You might think Porzingis’s absence will lead to a big night for Joel Embiid, but I actually think Dallas’ other frontcourt options are better post defenders(and are limited on the offensive end of the floor). Even when Embiid does go off, this 76ers team has inconsistent production around him. I expect this to be a “first to 100 wins” type of game; to avoid getting screwed in Overtime in what should be a close game, I’ll play the 1H Under.

Premiums, 2.4 (8-0 this week in NBA Picks!)

We’re cruising, people! This undefeated streak won’t keep going, no chance, BUT – how long can we keep it going?…

Friday is probably the night for regression. This is a TOUGH slate tonight in the NBA. Treading extra cautiously on my end and that’s why it took a little longer. Happy Friday, team!
NBA Picks:
  • Hornets -4.5 *
    • This line could move down, but to be honest, with the way the NBA market has been (line movement that’s been largely incorrect), who knows. Charlotte needs a win, they’re a very good ATS team at home (the best in the NBA, 68% cover rate), and Darius Garland’s injury seems to be a big deal for Cleveland. I think the Hornets run them out of the building and overwhelm them with points.
  • Nuggets -6 **
    • The Nuggets are everything the Pelicans want to be, Josh Hart could be out again tonight, Ingram probably isn’t 100%, and Denver is primed for a win at home after a sensational month of January.
  • Thunder +8 *
    • What are you kidding me with this? Since when are the Blazers deserving of an 8 point line against anyone? I know they’re at home but, big deal. They’ve underperformed all year at home. I love what Josh Giddey is doing for OKC – give me the Thunder and the points.
CBB Picks:
  • Purdue Fort-Wayne -6 *
    • Incorrectly lined. IPFW is a much better team than Milwaukee and they’re at home. I think they cover it easily.
If you ever have any questions, message me here, on Twitter, or on Instagram. I will make myself available from 9am to 5pm every day, but please don’t expect an answer outside of those hours. I gotta shut it down sometimes. All picks are 1-5 stars based on unit size and confidence. 3 star picks are rare, 4-5 star picks are VERY rare. -Chris

*NBA(1u): Raptors -3.5(-110) vs Bulls–6:30 PM CT

This Raptors team enters tonight having won 4 of their last 5 and catch a Bulls team that is starting to come back down to earth a bit. Chicago is still without Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso, Derrick Jones Jr, and Patrick Williams; Zach LaVine is even questionable for tonight. The Bulls have been particularly poor on the road as of late, covering just once in their last 7 games away from the United Center and winning only 2 of those games outright. Traveling to Canada for a one-off game in front of no fans is not exactly the easiest spot, especially considering Chicago has a road game at Indiana tomorrow. Toronto is in great current form, and given they are used to this environment, I feel good about backing them tonight. Chicago might not come out flat, but over the course of a 48-minute game, I like the Raptors to pull away in this one.

February 3rd CBB Premium Plays

*CBB(1u): St John’s/Georgetown OVER 157.5(-110)–5 PM CT

This is a strange scheduling spot as each of these teams has played once already this week and will also play over the weekend. St John’s goes at the 4th highest pace in the country, and in their Tuesday game vs Providence, we saw that game turn into a track meet(96 points in the second half). Georgetown also plays with more pace than their 47th ranking would indicate and features a horrendous defense(249th in def. efficiency). That said, the Hoyas have gotten healthier and are bound to break out on the offensive end of the floor. St John’s allowed 86 points to a slow-paced Providence team just 2 days ago and now rank outside the Top 100 in defensive efficiency. I’ve had success betting Over’s on these high total games this week, and I think this is another one that flies over the total.

*CBB(1u): UCF -11.5(-110) vs South Florida–6 PM CT

South Florida is a stricht “bet against” team for me; the Bulls rank 340th in offensive efficiency and combine that with just the 319th fastest pace in the country. USF is 1-6 in conference play, with the average margin of those losses sitting at 19 PPG. Funny enough, their only win came against this UCF team; they didn’t just squeak by either, they won that game by 24. However, UCF was coming off a double-digit win vs Memphis and shot just 2-20 from deep in that game. I’m higher than most on the Knights and think this is a great time to buy-in on them. This is still a team that beat both Michigan and Miami handily this season, and this is an easy matchup where they should have all of the motivation in the world. USF’s win over UCF a few weeks ago was a total fluke; I like the Knights to look good from start to finish and win this game by 15+.

Premiums, 2.3 (6-0, +11.5 units this last 2 days)

Wellllllll you know I’m happy! Can we stay undefeated? Probably not, I mean it is GAMBLING after all, but let’s ride this streak as long as we can.

Hope your bankrolls are BUZZIN!
NBA Picks:
  • Bulls/Raptors over 224.5 *
    • The Bulls are allowing 116 ppg over the last month. Their defense has been ranked at the bottom of the league over that span, unsurprisingly. They’re winning by outscoring their opponents, and they should find success from the perimeter and from their jump-shots in this contest. Toronto, on the other hand, has absolute sharks at the rim (an area where the CHI defense has struggled all year) and their offensive efficiency ratings are WAY up at home (4th overall this past month). I think both teams have plenty of offensive success – I have this closer to 230.
  • Heat -4 **
    • This game sets up REALLY well for the Miami Heat. They’re off 3 straight losses, Kyle Lowry could return tonight, Jimmy Butler should play, and the Spurs are very beatable at home (5-10 ATS as a home underdog). Dejounte Murray is also banged up heading into this contest (along with a few players crucial for their depth). All HEAT for me tonight.
  • Lean Hawks +5.5
    • I can’t pull the trigger on this just yet, since I don’t know for sure if Trae will play, but giving the Hawks this many points at home IF Trae plays? This may be worth an early bet in the hope that he does.
CBB Picks:
  • Arizona 1H -4 *
    • BIG revenge spot for Arizona
  • Belmont -15.5 *
    • Yea they’re just WAY better than Tennessee St
If you ever have any questions, message me here, on Twitter, or on Instagram. I will make myself available from 9am to 5pm every day, but please don’t expect an answer outside of those hours.
