Western Kentucky’s yards were mainly garbage yards vs UTSA but they did have 3 turnovers – 0 which helped UTSA.
Oklahoma State out-gained Baylor 333 to 242 yet lost 21-16. A 4-2 turnover ratio killed them but keep in mind that Baylor had their second string QB in.
Kent State’s yards were mainly Garbage vs NIU.
USC out-gained Cal 409 to 265 yet lost 24-14. a 2-0 turnover ratio and having a skeleton crew hurt them.
Weird loss for the Bucks but a great overall night in NBA, going 3-1 for around +3 units. Onto more NBA tonight, though I’m not seeing a ton of value just yet so only one play for now, our lookahead NFL picks, and the Army/Navy game!

Memphis has won each of their last 5 games even while down star G Ja Morant. They famously beat the Thunder by an astounding 73 points last week and have followed that up with impressive road wins at Miami and Dallas. However, in that Dallas game, the Mavericks were down Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis; both of those guys are slated to play tonight. Dallas did play a close game against Brooklyn last night, but considering they had 2 days off prior to last night, I don’t worry as much about fatigue going into this game. Dallas also has the depth at G(Tim Hardaway Jr, Jalen Brunson) to match up well with this Grizzlies bunch. Memphis simply cannot continue to play so well without their centerpiece in the lineup. At some point, guards Desmond Bane and Dillon Brooks will cool off. The 3-and-a-hook is just enough to get me on Dallas tonight.

*NBA(1u): Knicks +5(-110) @ Pacers–6:10 PM CT
We cashed a free play winner with the Knicks last night, and I see value in playing on them once again tonight. I had hopes that this Indiana team would turn a corner after a slow start, but after continuing to struggle, rumors have swirled around Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner, and Malcolm Brogdon all being on the trade block. Suffice to say, this isn’t a team that should be laying 5 points against a comparable(or possibly superior) opponent. While Indiana did win their last game against an overvalued Washington team, they lost each of the 4 games prior to that. I think the market is still undervaluing the Knicks after a mediocre start, so I’ll play on them once again tonight.
*NBA(1u): Nets -6(-110) @ Rockets–7:10 PM CT
This is absolutely a trap spot for Brooklyn coming off a tight game in Dallas last night, but I really don’t care. Brooklyn has mopped the floor with the bottom-feeders of the league this season, and they’re poised to do the same tonight. While the Rockets have won their past 6 games, those last 4 wins have come against Oklahoma City(2x), Orlando, New Orleans; these teams are equally as poor as the Rockets. Prior to their recent run, they lost 15 straight games. Most importantly, they are still without their star Kevin Porter Jr; as they start to play actual professional teams, they won’t continue to win without him in the lineup. There’s a chance the Nets rest Kevin Durant tonight after he played 40 minutes last night, so you might be able to get a better line close to game time. Either way, the Nets are the far deeper team and match up well with a truly horrible Rockets bunch. I’ll buy right into this trap and lay the 6 with Brooklyn.
Hey people! I’m going to be real short with this article today because 1) you don’t have time to read 10000 words, 2) I don’t have time to write it and 3) this is a pretty damn simple handicap. Let’s keep winning!

NFL Circa Picks: 42-22-1 NBA: 83-71 (54%), +11.64 units
Blazers Team Total under 101 (-115), 2 units: This is a really straightforward handicap. Here’s where the Warriors currently place on defense:
Opp Points/Game: 1st
Opp Avg Score Margin: 1st
Opp Avg Points/Paint: 2nd
Opp Assists/Game: 2nd
Opp Turnover/Assist Ratio: 1st
Opp Shooting %, Effective FG %, and Shooting Efficiency: 1st
Any questions? The Warriors have been the best defense all year and they rank 1st in defensive efficiency by a wide-margin because of it. The Blazers, on the other hand, are reeling. Portland has lost 6 of its last 7 games, Lillard is OUT for this game and now CJ McCollum has been diagnosed with a bruised lung and will be OUT for some time, too. In case you’re unaware, those are their top 2 scorers.
Without Lillard and McCollum, with their confidence fading, and going up against a defensive juggernaut at Golden State is not a recipe for offensive success.
Topsy-Turvy start to this college basketball season. Currently sitting at 42-38-1 +8.91 units. A big chunk of that last night going 3-1 +4.67 Units. I’ve had 5-0 days and 0-5 days. Hoping to build on last night into a some level of consistency. Not having CFB to look at every night means more CBB plays coming and today is the most action for me all year as I’ve got 6 games I like today and 10 total bets with some ML sprinkling. Here we go!
Utah Valley State visits Southern Utah (-6.5) O/U 142.5. Utah Valley comes in at 7-1 while Southern Utah holds a record of 5-3. This is the 9th meeting between the schools with the series tied at 4 wins a piece. Southern Utah has won the last three meetings. Southern Utah will join UVU in the WAC next year so this is essentially a rivalry game of the future. Southern Utah is 4-1 straight up in last 5 games and is 4-1 ATS in those 5. UVU is 5-0 in their last 5 games and also 4-1 ATS.
Utah Valley pulled one of the bigger upsets of the season their last time out knocking off BYU at home in OT 72-65. BYU had no answer for UVU 6’11” big man Fardaws Aimaq. He thrashed them for 24 points and 22 rebounds. (He’s averaging 21ppg and 15 rpg) 6th man Justin Harmon also put up 24 points against BYU. They need the rest of their lineup to be more consistent and knock down open shots. When they do that they are tough to beat.
Southern Utah has much more depth and experience especially in the backcourt as they feature 4 different players in averging in double figures on the year. Senior guard John Knight III leads the way at 18.3 ppg, and he has two other senior guards starting along side him in Tevian Jones and Dre Marin.
Both these teams like to push the ball as SUU is 11th in the country in possessions per game and UVU is 44th.
For me this game comes down to taking care of the ball and efficiency. Southern Utah has the edge in ball security, but UVU has a slight edge in Offensive Efficiency and a big one the defensive side of the ball. Southern Utah Sophomore Center Jason Spurgin will be tasked with containing Aimaq, and in their three losses he has struggled mightily against the big men from Cal, St Mary’s and Dixie State. I see much of the same happening tonight.
I like the Utah Valley Wolverines to cover in this one. Gimme UVU +6.5 for 2.5 Unitsand sprinkle. Also throwing 1 unit at the Over.
