NFL Week 2 Betting Spots

Let Down Spots:

  • The Packers could be a little happy vs the Commanders after beating the Lions.
  • The Chargers could be full of themselves after beating the Chiefs.
  • The Bills could let down at the Jets after beating the Ravens in the last seconds of the game.
  • The Bucs might not take the Texans seriously after beating the Falcons.

Get Up Spots:

  • The Lions have to save embarrassment against the Bears.
  • The Chiefs do not want to start 0-2 against the Eagles.   Also a revenge spot.
  • The Texans better wake up against the Bucs on Monday Night Football.

Look Ahead Spots:

  • The Cardinals could look past the Panthers some to the 49ers, but it’s a little early for that.

Long Rest:

  • The Chargers have an extra two days rest at the Raiders.
  • The Eagles have an extra day’s rest at the Chiefs.
  • The Cowboys have three extra days hosting the Giants.

Short Rest:

  • Bears at Lions after Monday Night.
  • Vikings hosting the Falcons after Monday Night.

NFL Week 1 Misleading Final Scores

  • The Jets outgained the Steelers 394 to 271 yet lost 34-32.   A 1-0 turnover ratio and poor special teams and Red Zone hurt the Jets.
  • Saints vs Cardinals yards were prevent yards for the most part.
  • The Browns out-gained the Bengals 327 to 141 yet lost 17-16.  A 2-0 turnover ratio and bad special teams killed the Brownies.
  • The Falcons out-gained the Buccaneers 358 to 260 yet lost 23-20.   Equal turnovers at 0 but bad red zone and horrible special teams cleaned the dirty birds.
  • The 49ers out-gained the Seahawks 384 to 230 yet only won 17-13.  Equal turnovers but terrible special teams and a few injuries got them niners.
  • The Broncos outgained the Titans 317 to 133 yet only won 20-12.   A 4-2 turnover ratio and sloppy play got them Broncos.

  • South Florida could be fat and happy at Miami, but I am not fading them just yet.
  • Jacksonville State could let down at Georgia Southern after beating Liberty.
  • Missouri vs Louisiana after the comeback vs Kansas is a let down spot.
  • Illinois hosting Western Michigan after a beating Duke.

Get Up Spots

  • Duke at Tulane after that loss to Illinois and quarterback Darian Mensah transferred from Tulane.
  • Kansas State better wake up at Arizona after that horrible loss to Army.
  • Michigan hosting Central Michigan after the Oklahoma loss.

Look Ahead Spots:

  • Illinois could look past Western Michigan to Indiana.
  • Oklahoma looking past Temple to Auburn is one.
  • Auburn Looking past South Alabama to Oklahoma is there too.
  • Utah looking past at Wyoming to Texas Tech.
  • Texas Tech looking past Oregon State to Utah is there.

College Football Week 2 Misleading Final Scores

  • Liberty out-gained Jacksonville State 514 to 390 yet lost 34-24.  A 2-0 turnover ratio and poor red zone offense extinguished the Flames.
  • Virginia out-gained NC State 514 to 416 yet lost 35-31.   A 1-0 turnover ratio, poor special teams, and bad clutch play killed the Wahoos.
  • Oregon State out-gained Fresno State 528 to 318 yet lost 36-27.  A 2-1 turnover ratio and poor red zone efficiency killed the Beavers.
  • Colorado only out-gained Delaware 398 to 396 yet won 31-7.  A 2-0 turnover ratio, poor third down ratio 2/10 and poor special teams got the Blue Hens.
  • Missouri State out-gained Marshall 474 to 274 yet only won 21-20.  Equal turnovers and bad red zone and special teams got the Bears.
  • Boston College out-gained Michigan State 457 to 380 yet lost in OT 42-40.   Equal turnovers at 1, but 8 penalties and poor officiating got the Eagles.
  • Tulsa out-gained New Mexico State 376 to 291 yet lost 21-14.   A 2-1 turnover ratio and just poor clutch play got the Golden Hurricane.

  • WR Xavier Worthy had a dislocated shoulder and is day to day.
  • WR Drake London had a shoulder sprain.
  • TE Evan Engram left in the fourth quarter with a calf injury.
  • TE Brock Bowers left with a knee injury, but he’s not concerned.
  • TE George Kittle left with a hammy and could miss time.
  • WR Jauan Jennings left with a shoulder injury.
  • QB Brock Purdy might miss next week.

Waiver Wire:

  • WR Hollywood Brown had 16 targets for KC.   Worthy was out, but he could be a good pickup.
  • RB Dylan Sampson for the Browns was the Bell Cow.
  • TE Jake Tonges for the Kittle injury could be big for a few weeks.
  • TE Michael Mayer if Bowers misses would be massive.
  • TE Lucas Krull if Engram misses time.
  • TE Juwan Johnson for the Saints was big with 11 targets.
  • WR Keenan Allen had 10 targets and a TD for the Chargers.
  • WR Kayshon Boutte had 8 targets and 103 yards for the Patriots.

  • QB Geno Smith isn’t a bad grab if available.
