NCAA free plays 12/8 – Sports Betting

BYU – 4

BYU is a much better team since getting Nick Emery back from suspension last week and this is not factored into the line.  This kid will be playing with chip on his shoulder   Utah has only beaten some bad to middle of the road type teams.   Lay the -4

Buffalo over 147

The Bulls themselves average 87 points per game and play very fast.   The Bonnies do not have the defense to stop this very fast team but should score enough to keep up with them averaging 79 points per game at home.  Over 147

Michigan under 138

Michigan has the best defense in the league and they play South Carolina at home.   They also play one of the the slowest paces in the league at 65.9 possessions per game.   They will control the pace at home.   The Gamecocks lost starting forward Justin Minaya 2 weeks ago to a knee.  Under 138

NBA Friday Free Play

The Thunder travel to Chicago to take on Zavh LaVine and the Bulls. Bulls have had a rough go in the 1st quarter of the season and currently on a 7 game losing streak. OKC comes in riding a 4 game winning streak, 3 convincing wins and an amazing 4th quarter comeback. I’ve said it before, Bulls are a hit or miss type team offensively and currently sit last in Offensive rating in the league. I don’t see Boylen getting them ready to play, OKC is 1st in defensive rating and I’m seeing a 1 sided affair. The over under is 3-8-1 when Chicago is at home and 3-8 in OKC Road games. I was looking for a number around 212 so I love 219.

Army vs Navy

Army vs Navy +7

I think if you followed football long enough, you know how big this game is to both of these sides.  Motivation will not be in question.   What is very unique about this game is that both teams run identical offenses.   Both teams run the triple option and meaning both teams know how to defend it.   If you see a pass in this game it is usually not really expected by the defense and you tend to see some wrinkles thrown in.   Now Army is ranked a bit higher passing the ball with Kelvin Hopkins at 55% completion percentage over Garret Lewis at 45% and now QB Zach Abby at 50% but I think this should hardly factor into this Handicap.   The glaring thing here to me is that Army has a much better rushing defense than Navy holding opponents to 4.2 yards per run while Navy is at 5.2.  That is huge because it averages about 3 yards per set of downs.   Option or not, this defense can’t stop anybody.   I also see that both of these teams have faced some option teams this year.    Army beat Airforce recently 17-14 while Navy lost to Air Force 35-7 and being out-gained by over 200 yards.   Navy also played Tulane and lost by a point at the end of the year.  Now Navy has been playing better since they got blown out by Cincinnati 48-0 but I think they will not be able to stop a better Army team.   I normally bet the dog in this game and scenario but Navy does not have the defense this year to stop this army team.  Navy is 2-8 over the last 3 years being a dog from 3.5 to 10 points.  Army is as a favorite of 3.5 to 10 points is 8-0.   I will lay the points with Army but this certainly isn’t a big play of mine.

Army -7

Thursday NBA Free play

We’re Back with a nice free play tonight. The Knicks head to Boston to take on the Celtics. Both teams are well rested only having played 2 games in the last week. TNT will be broadcasting the game it tips off at 8pm. Enes Kanter has been averaging a Double Double so far this season and has carried the Knicks offensively, unfortunately he’s been all they’ve had as the rank in the bottom half of the league in every category other than offensive rebounds. Celtics have been dynamite on defense and theres something about to nationally televised games. Stars come out on night like this New York is 3-10 as a Road dog ATS while Celtics are 6-3 at Home ATS.
Take Celtics -13

Arkansas vs Colorado State Play – Sports Betting

Arkansas vs Colorado State -7

There really isn’t a ton of data on Arkansas Basketball because they only played 6 games.  4 easy teams that rank in 200s and 300s and 2 good teams in Texas and Indiana.   Well Arkansas beat Indiana at home this year which was their huge win but they also lost at their only road game so far at Texas by 2 points.    The other teams 4 they blew out by an average of about 23 points per game.  Colorado State on the other hand hasn’t played anybody minus Colorado who only beat them by 6 points.   In order to have such a close game the Rams had to shoot out of their minds at 52% and 44% from 3 point land.   The Rams will come back to earth this game now playing a better defense and shooting their average 48% and 35% from 3 point land.  The Norm for Colorado State against top 75 teams so far this year has them losing by over 12 points.   Arkansas is a very solid team this year of young 3 star recruits that have been playing very well.   The Razorbacks rank 51st on Kenpom and play at a very fast tempo.   Daniel Gafford their Center has been a beast in the middle averaging 20 points per game and 10 boards.   Their Transfer from New Mexico Jalen Harris has also been a great leader and scorer.   Arkansas has 4 players that average double digit points per game and their very deep bench should help them win this game handily in the higher elevation.  I have this game 84-75 Arkansas

Michigan vs Northwestern play – College Hoops – Sports Betting

Michigan vs Northwestern -5 O/U 128

This game should be a great one to watch tonight as the Wolverines face the Northwestern Wildcats.   Now there has been some money knocking this spread down from +6.5 to +5 but I am not buying it.   This is a revenge spot for Michigan who last year lost at Northwestern on February 5th earlier this year.   During this game, Byrant McIntosh for northwestern shot out of his mind hitting 8-11 shots and 3-3 for 3 point field goals.   The problem this year is that there is no more Mcintosh and Phillip Lindsey this year and NU does not have the point guards to play with Zavier Simpson, Jordan Pool and Charles Mathews.   Michigan ranks number 1 on Kenpom on defense and they have proved it this year beating the likes of North Carolina by 16 points, Purdue by 19 points, at Villanova by 27 points and Providence by 19.   On the other hand Northwestern has been playing pretty good led by Vic law at 17.6 points per game but they really do not have any marquise wins and blew a chance on Saturday to beat Indiana on the road.   Northwestern plays great defense hence the low total of 128 but they very much lack at 3 point shooting at 225th in the nation and rebounding at 230th.   Those are not the kind of stats that you need to beat this great wolverine’s team.   Michigan’s Strength of schedule also ranks a bit higher at 99th compared to Northwestern’s 205th.    Michigan has yet to lose a game by 13 points or more and I am going to lay the points with the Wolverines playing at newly renovated Welsh-Ryan Arena.

Michigan -5
