NFL Week 4 Betting Spots

Let Down Spots:

  • The Broncos could let down at the 49ers after the Rams win.
  • The Vikings could be a little flat hosting the Dolphins after the big win in Tampa Bay.
  • The Commanders could let down hosting the Colts after the big Seahawks win.

Get Up Spots:

  • It’s do or die for the Texans hosting the Cowboys.
  • The Raiders might want to compete against the Chiefs this weekend.  The outcome will depend on the ref.
  • The Panthers need to get up hosting the Lions.
  • The Rams will need to wash off at the Eagles.

Look Ahead Spots:

  • The Bears could look past the Jets to the Packers.
  • The 49ers could look past the Broncos to the Seahawks.

Short Week: 

  • The Bears after Monday night hosting the Jets.
  • The Eagles after Monday night hosting the Rams.

Long Week:

  • The Falcons after Thursday night at the Saints.
  • The Packers after Thursday night at the Buccaneers.

NFL Week 3 Misleading Final Scores

  •  The Bills only outgained Chargers 350 to 348 yet won 24-16.   They lost the turnover battle 5-1, yet still won and covered the -7.  Poor offense and red zone busted the Bolts.
  • The Panthers out-gained the Browns 360 to 259 yet lost 21-18.  Equal turnovers at 1-1, but terrible fourth down efficiency and red zone killed the Panthers.
  • The Chiefs only out-gained the Dolphins 334 to 329 yet the Dolphins lost 24-10.  A 2-1 turnover ratio, poor quarterback play and biased officiating broke the Fins.
  • The Titans out-gained the Giants 262 to 238 yet lost 12-7.   A 2-0 turnover ratio and bad red zone quarterback play smoked the Titans.
  • The Seahawks out-gained the Commanders 437 to 258 yet lost 33-31.  A 3-0 turnover ratio smoked the quacks.
  • The Patriots yards were mainly Garbage time.
  • The Rams out-gained the Broncos 482 to 257 yet lost 30-26.  A 2-1 turnover ratio including a pick 6, and terrible red zone got the Shams.

  • QB Baker Mayfield dislocated his throwing thumb and is week to week.
  • RB Devon Achane tore his ACL and is out for the season.
  • WR Justin Jefferson hurt his ankle and is week to week.
  • WR Mike Evans hurt his oblique and is week to week as well.
  • RB Travis Etienne had a hammy and left he game.
  • RB Breece Hall had a thigh injury and left the game.
  • WR Jalen Coker has a Quad injury.  
  • WR Adonie Mitchell for the Jets got hurt.
  • TE Mark Andrews with a hand injury.

Waiver Wire:

  • QB Jalon Daniels for the Baker Mayfield injury.
  • RBs Jaylen Wright & Ollie Gorden for the Devon Achane injury.
  • WR Jauan Jennings for the Jefferson injury.
  • WR Keenan Allen
  • WR Jacob Cowing for the Mike Evans injury.

  • QB Marcus Mariota against the Colts ain’t bad. 
  • RB Jacory Crosky-Merritt against the Colts as well
  • RB Bucky Irving against the poor Packers D is good.
  • WR Rachod Bateman against the Titans as well.
  • WR Jameson Williams against the Panthers is solid.
  • WR Jalen Coker against the Lions is good if he’s healthy.
  • RB Chuba Hubbard against the Lions is great.
  • WR Terry McLaurin against the Colts.
  • QB Daniel Jones against the Commanders is big.
  • WR Josh Downs against the Commanders is also nice.

Busts:

  • WR Tee Higgens against the Jaguars isn’t good.
  • QB Matt Stafford at the Eagles is bad.
  • WR Ceedee Lamb against the Texans is rough.
  • RB Ashton Jeanty against the Chiefs is poor.
  • QB Brock Purdy against the Broncos is a little sus.
  • QB Justin Herbert against the Seahawks is laughable.

  • Wake Forest hosting Stanford after the big Louisville win.
  • UAB hosting Samford after the big Navy win.
  • Minnesota hosting Michigan after the big Washington win.
  • Florida at Missouri after the big Ole Miss win.
  • Cincinnati at Arizona after beating Kansas State outright.
  • Wyoming at North Dakota State after finally winning a game.
  • Wisconsin hosting Michigan State after the big Penn State comeback.

Get Up Spots:

  • Penn state better get up at Northwestern after the Badger game choke.

  • Northern Illinois out-gained Georgia State 432 to 342 yet lost 35-12.   Equal turnovers at 2, but poor third 3/13 and 4th 1/4 down efficiency killed the Huskies.
  • Michigan out-gained Iowa 429 to 285 yet lost 20-19.  A 1-0 turnover ratio and poor red zone burned the Wolverines.
  • Rice out-gained Fresno State 463 to 459 yet lost 38-24.  A 2-0 turnover ratio and a poor second half got the Owls.
  • Temple out-gained Army 459 to 315 yet lost 21-17.  Terrible red zone and bad field position hurt these Owls.
  • TCU  out-gained UCF  343 to 266 yet lost 21-13.  A 4-2 turnover ratio stepped on the Frogs.
